JFK’s Grandson Joins Presidential Descendants Who Run For Office

Jack Schlossberg, a grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, is hardly the first descendant of a former president to run for political office.

Schlossberg announced this week he’s joining the Democratic field to succeed retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) in a Manhattan district that’s strongly Democratic.

The two best-known recent examples of presidential descendants seeking office are George W. Bush and Jeb Bush, sons of former President George H.W. Bush. George W.
