This year’s State of the Union will be held Feb. 24, per a letter sent from Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) to President Donald Trump.
Johnson touted the working relationship Congress and Trump have had, particularly in passing last year’s sweeping reconciliation bill.
“We look forward to advancing the important work ahead of us in 2026, serving the American people, defending liberty, and preserving this grand experiment in self-governance,” Johnson wrote.
The speaker typically invites the president to give the State of the Union address to lawmakers and Cabinet officials in the House chamber.
