Key Democrat Pushes for More Staff to Address Chevron Fallout

The Democrat who’s in line to take over the Administration Committee if control of the House flips in 2026 wants to boost legislative staff funding to carry out the added work imposed by a major Supreme Court ruling.

Rep. Joe Morelle (D-N.Y.) told Bloomberg Government that a key part of his agenda would be dealing with the need for lawmakers to adjust how they write laws after the end of Chevron deference.
