Appropriators unveiled text of another package of spending bills Sunday, bringing Congress closer to funding the government long-term as a Jan. 30 deadline approaches.
The minibus proposal would fund Financial Services and Department of State programs for the rest of the 2026 fiscal year through Sept. 30. Appropriators had previously said they would include Homeland Security funding in the latest package, but it wasn’t included in the bills released Sunday. House Republican leaders want to vote on the legislation later this week.
