Congress could soon vote on Elon Musk’s contentious spending cuts.
Republicans in both chambers met with Musk in closed-door meetings yesterday and discussed voting on measures to rescind funds targeted by the Department of Government Efficiency project.
Senators said they expect the White House to send a proposal to cancel those funds — known as a rescission — which they could pass with a simple majority. House Republicans also had high-level talks on the idea.
