A group of bipartisan House lawmakers are urging the federal government to disburse the lion’s share of energy assistance to low-income households no later than Dec. 10.
The Health and Human Services Department said it’s working to quickly release a total of $3.7 billion to recipients of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program by Nov. 30.
