Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) criticized President Donald Trump’s tariff rollout while showing how he plans to use market turmoil as a springboard for his state — and, potentially, his own presidential ambitions.
Moore, speaking with reporters on Thursday ahead of an upcoming trade and technology trip to Asia, warned that voters around the country will feel the pain of Trump’s economic policy.
“Everything will get more expensive on everybody,” Moore said, adding they amount to a “national sales tax” on consumers.
