Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is set to appear April 10 on Capitol Hill, his first time testifying since the House impeached him in February — and coinciding with Republicans’ latest step to advance the effort.
Mayorkas will defend the Department of Homeland Security’s fiscal 2025 budget request in hearings before the House and Senate appropriations panels, according to a House aide who spoke anonymously to discuss plans that haven’t been announced yet. Bloomberg Government first reported the plans.
