Medicaid Targets Pay in Bid to Boost Home Health Worker Ranks (1)

The Biden administration on Monday released a final rule aimed at easing workforce shortages and increasing access to critical home and community-based long-term care services in Medicaid, the White House said.

The rule (RIN: 0938-AU68) from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services requires at least 80% of Medicaid payments for home health care services go to workers’ wages, the White House said in a fact sheet. The announcement follows feedback from more than 2,000 public comments.
