Meta ‘Consistently’ Ignores Child Safety, Whistleblowers Testify

A pair of former employees at Meta Platforms Inc. delivered searing congressional testimony Tuesday alleging the company suppressed their research on children’s safety and knowingly neglects the well-being of their youngest users.

“It is evident that Meta consistently chooses profit over safety,” Jason Sattizahn, a researcher at Meta for six years before leaving in 2024, told a Senate subcommittee. “Meta has chosen to ignore the problems they created and bury evidence of users’ negative experiences.”
