Sen. Amy Klobuchar formally announced she’s running for governor of Minnesota, the state where the Trump administration’s intensified federal immigration enforcement has ignited controversy and unrest.

“These times call for leaders who can stand up and not be rubber stamps of this Administration, but who are also willing to find common ground and fix things in our state,” Klobuchar (D) said in a campaign video released Thursday that invoked the recent fatal shootings of Minneapolis residents Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal agents.
