New York lawmakers have revived a health data privacy bill vetoed by Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) last year and removed language long opposed by business groups.
Manhattan Democratic lawmakers Sen. Liz Krueger and Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal filed a new measure (SB 9269) on Feb. 20 that would strengthen privacy protections for those seeking abortions and gender-affirming care.
