New York’s Republican governor candidate Bruce Blakeman is suing a state election board for its decision to disqualify him from a public campaign finance program, dealing a blow to his underdog bid to unseat Gov. Kathy Hochul (D).
Public Campaign Finance Board commissioners voted to disqualify Blakeman from the program March 31 due to a paperwork error, contending he failed to include his lieutenant governor candidate Todd Hood on a newly required form.
