Enrollment on the Obamacare marketplace is projected to drop by 4.8 million as large numbers of remaining enrollees switch to lower quality plans, according to new analysis from the health research group KFF.
The group also found average monthly premiums for enrollees rose 58%, from $113 to $178, according to the report. While lower than KFF’s initially projected 114% increase in premiums, the group partially attributes this to enrollees switching to lower premium plans with higher deductibles, known as bronze plans.
