OpenAI, Child Safety Group Back Compromise California Measure

OpenAI Inc. and online child safety group Common Sense Media announced Friday they’re teaming up on a California ballot initiative to regulate artificial intelligence chatbots.

The two parties agreed to consolidate their competing proposals, said Jim Steyer, CEO of Common Sense Media. He called the compromise “the strongest youth AI safety measure in the nation’s history.”
