Shapiro Has Key Edge Over Newsom Ahead of 2028, Congressman Says

The Democratic nominee for president in 2028 will need to carry Pennsylvania to win the White House and that gives Gov. Josh Shapiro a leg up, Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Penn.) said at a Bloomberg Government roundtable Wednesday.

“I don’t see a path to winning the White House that doesn’t include Pennsylvania. And so the national party, of course, should pay attention to how and who wins in Pennsylvania,” he said.
