Pentagon Probes Army Air Crash in Hegseth’s First Big Test (1)

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the Pentagon has begun a probe into the cause of a deadly midair collision between a passenger jet and a military helicopter, looking to understand who was to blame and how the tragedy occurred.

Authorities said the collision Wednesday night in Washington killed all on board both aircraft, including 64 aboard the American Airlines flight from Wichita, Kansas, and three soldiers on a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.
