There are more than 2,370 companies that can vie for work on Missile Defense Agency contracts for the ‘Golden Dome’ effort following last week’s announcement by the Pentagon, according to Bloomberg Government analysis.
A third round of awards added 339 vendors qualified to compete to supply goods or services on MDA’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense, or SHIELD, contracts. The Pentagon previously released awardee information in two notices in December, and the total number of parent vendors is now 2,374, according to a Bloomberg Government analysis of data published by the Defense Department.
