Pentagon Taps Palantir for Accelerated Commercial Procurement

Palantir leads its competitors in winning Defense Department contracts under a new method for procuring innovative commercial technology.

The company won $27 million in unclassified obligations for software licenses and application development in fiscal 2025, making up 40% of unclassified commercial solutions opening procurement dollars, according to Bloomberg Government data.

CSOs, which were first implemented in fiscal 2023, offer simplified procurement procedures to support the government’s acquisition of innovative technology and encourage new federal market entrants.
