Pentagon to Seek More Funding After Iran Strikes, Cole Says (1)

The Department of Defense is preparing to ask Congress for additional funding following attacks by the US and Israel on Iran, according to a top lawmaker overseeing the federal budget.

“The Pentagon is working on one,” House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole (R-Okla.) told reporters Tuesday, referring to a supplemental appropriations request. He didn’t outline any further details.

“We haven’t gotten it yet, so I don’t know any more than that,” Cole said.
