Poland Says It’s Open to More US Troops If Moved From Germany

Warsaw is ready to take in more US soldiers, Poland’s defense minister said on Saturday, after US President Donald Trump indicated he may relocate troops from neighboring Germany.

“Poland is ready to accept additional American troops in order to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank and provide even better protection for Europe,” Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on X.

“The Polish-American alliance is the cornerstone of our security,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said.

The post came within hours of Trump signaling the possibility that the US could move soldiers to Poland.
