Q&A: Silicon Valley’s Khanna on Why Democrats Lost Tech

At first glance, Ro Khanna is an unlikely messenger for Democrats trying to win back working class voters. The progressive congressman represents Silicon Valley, the embodiment of highly educated, affluent, coastal elites.

But Khanna (D-Calif.), has been pushing a more populist approach to swing areas, making him one of several young party messengers aiming to find a new way forward after Democrats’ 2024 losses.
