President Donald Trump’s return to Washington triggered a historic business boom on K Street, as lobbyists sought access to a White House that upended global markets, civic institutions, and US relations around the world.

A record $5.3 billion was spent on lobbying in 2025—the largest jump recorded since Bloomberg Government began analyzing Lobbying Disclosure Act filings in 2016. In all, 80 firms out of 360 included in the report met Bloomberg Government’s criteria to be designated a “standout” firm.
