Republican Juan Ciscomani won a second House term in Arizona’s 6th District in a rematch against Democrat Kirsten Engel, who conceded Wednesday.
Ciscomani, a former aide to then-Gov. Doug Ducey (R-Ariz.), first won the seat in 2022 by less than 2 percentage points against Engel, a former state senator and environmental law professor at the University of Arizona.
National parties and super PACs spent heavily in the rematch this year in the southeastern Arizona district that includes suburbs of Tuscon and shares a slice of the state’s border with Mexico, where Ciscomani was born.
