Collins Seeks Senate Markup of Six Spending Bills Next Week (2)

Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Susan Collins hopes to schedule a markup next week on six spending bills for the next fiscal year, after complications from a marathon vote series scuttled plans to advance some of those Thursday.

Senate Republicans plan to vote June 11 whether to advance bills funding Commerce-Justice-Science, Agriculture-FDA, and Legislative Branch programs, leaders of the relevant panels said.

The Appropriations Committee could also vote on bills funding Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, Interior-Environment, and Financial Services-General Government programs if the Congressional Budget Office completes their work in time, Collins (R-Maine) told Bloomberg Government early Friday.
