The Biden administration is facing new pressure to investigate and take action to ban “exploitative” employment contracts in the airline and trucking industries.
Advocacy groups urged the Transportation Department Thursday to crack down on “de-facto non-compete clauses” in labor contracts for pilots and truckers. The move pushes the administration, which describes itself as the “most pro-worker” in history, to issue regulations banning the clauses as industries raise concerns about a need for more workers.
