The latest measurement of President Donald Trump’s power could come in the Senate this week.
Committees are moving toward votes on three of Trump’s most contentious nominees: Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence; Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for HHS secretary; and Kash Patel for FBI director.
Their nominations alone are a testament to how Trump defied conduct or statements that used to be disqualifying, and show his “flood the zone” approach works, spreading so many controversies at such velocity his critics can’t unite or focus on a single person or topic.
