Rick Scott Enters Race to Succeed McConnell as GOP Senate Leader

Florida Senator Rick Scott announced in a letter to colleagues his bid for Senate Republican leader.

• “We need a dramatic sea change to save our country and that’s why I’m running to be Republican leader,” he says
• Senators John Thune and John Cornyn are also running to replace current GOP leader Mitch McConnell
