Russian fertilizer output declined last month after Ukrainian forces stepped up strikes this year on industrial facilities to curb revenue for the Kremlin.
Russia produced 2.5 million metric tons of fertilizers in April, down 2.1% from a year earlier, according to data released by the Federal Statistics Service on Wednesday. Output for the first four months slipped 0.4% to 10.3 million tons.
