Sen. Bernie Sanders, who has remained coy about his future Senate plans, has stockpiled a campaign warchest nearing eight figures, giving the progressive firebrand from Vermont the resources to pursue his advocacy on liberal issues such as income disparities and shortfalls in the American health care system.
Sanders reported $9.8 million on hand in his re-election campaign account this month as he mulls whether to seek a fourth term in November. He raised $1.2 million of that total this year alone, more than half of which came from small-dollar donors.
