Secret Service, Speaker to Talk Ballroom Money With Senate GOP

House Speaker Mike Johnson and the head of the Secret Service will meet with Senate Republicans Tuesday as lawmakers consider legislation giving that agency $1 billion to make security improvements tied to the White House ballroom.

Director Sean Curran will brief Republicans at their weekly conference lunch, according to two people familiar with the meeting who requested anonymity to discuss plans. Johnson (R-La.) will also attend, according to a GOP leadership aide.
