Sen. Ron Wyden Previews Bipartisan Long-Term Care Initiatives

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) plans to unveil fresh incentives for long-term care next week that will have bipartisan appeal, adding Senate Democrats are well positioned to work on healthcare issues in the months ahead.

Capitol Hill has been divided over the partial government shutdown, energy costs and the war in Iran, making it difficult to build bipartisan support and pass bills with backing from both sides of the aisle.

Still, Wyden, ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, said he’s been talking with both Democrats and Republicans about new incentives and promises more details will come soon.
