Key Senate Lawmakers Demand Legal Basis for Boat Strikes (1)

The top Republican and Democrat on the Senate panel that oversees the US military accused the Pentagon of ignoring demands for details about deadly maritime strikes in the Caribbean, in a bipartisan show of dismay with the Trump administration over the attacks.

A statement from the pair included links to letters from Sept. 23 and Oct. 6 seeking more information, including the legal underpinnings of the campaign and so-called “execute orders” on the strikes. The letters were sent to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
