Senate Democrats Explore Drug Pricing Proposals for Next Year

Senate Finance Democrats are exploring drug pricing policy options as they prepare for the possibility of retaking control of one or both chambers of Congress next year.

Finance Committee ranking member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) led his colleagues in a request for information Tuesday that details proposals which are top of mind for Democrats to lower drug prices and bolster pharmaceutical innovation. Senate Democrats are asking stakeholders to respond to the policy ideas with their own feedback, which then could be incorporated into future legislative products.
