Senate GOP Doubts Ban on State AI Regulations Wins Approval

Senate Republicans are doubtful that a House GOP proposal to halt state regulations on artificial intelligence will endure in President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax and spending package, despite expressing support for the measure.

“As a substantive policy, it’s exactly right,” Senate Commerce Chair Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said, but “I am not certain if that provision will survive.”
