Senate Republicans face their first big decision of the second Donald Trump era this morning.
They’ll meet at 9:30 a.m. to elect a new leader for the first time since 2007, picking someone to succeed Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and spearhead the GOP’s efforts to confirm Trump’s nominees and advance his agenda.
It’s also a test of the reach of triumphant MAGA influencers in the president-elect’s orbit.
