Senate Democrats will have less power to fight back against President Donald Trump’s nominees as Republicans finalize a change to the chamber’s rules and confirm the first big batch later this week.

The Senate voted 51-44 to adopt a resolution on Monday night allowing them to consider dozens of nominees in a group (S. Res. 377) instead of individually, setting up the path to confirm an initial 48 nominees likely by Thursday.
