Senate GOP to Expedite Ambassadors, Trump Allies in Rule Change

Ambassadors, agency heads and key Donald Trump supporters are among the dozens of the president’s nominees that Republicans want to confirm in bulk by changing Senate rules.

The text of the executive resolution (S. Res. 377), which includes a list of 48 nominees, will serve as a vehicle for Republicans to rewrite the rules to allow for sub-cabinet level nominees to be considered in groups instead of individually.
