A bargain border funding plan from the Senate’s top homeland security Republican is dead on arrival as GOP colleagues push for billions more dollars in funding.
Budget Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Thursday said he would soon release his own proposal to ensure adequate funding for President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda after Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.) moved to halve border funding in the sweeping GOP tax and spending package.
