Senate Homeland Leader to Pitch Billions Less on Border Security

Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will release as soon as Tuesday his panel’s portion of a sweeping GOP tax and spending bill with “about half as much money” for border security as a counterpart House proposal. “It’ll actually be the conservative version of how much money we would spend,” Paul said in a brief interview with Bloomberg Government.
