Senate Looks to Make Funding Headway
The Senate is racing to make progress on government funding before senators leave Washington for their scheduled August recess.
Senators are aiming to pass at least the Military Construction-VA and Agriculture-FDA funding bill together by the end of this week. But ideally, they’re hoping they can add other funding bills to make headway on government funding before the Sept. 30 deadline.
