The Senate’s treasured summer break is on the line.

President Donald Trump is asking Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) to cancel August recess and long weekends to confirm more of his nominees.

It’s a tall ask for senators who’ve repeatedly lost sleep staying overnight in recent months to pass Trump’s agenda — and often cherish their August reprieve back home.
