Senate Republicans Open Investigation into Abortion Drug Makers

Senate Republicans opened an investigation Wednesday into companies manufacturing the abortion pill to see if they’ve complied with government safeguards in marketing their products.

It comes after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, which had previously provided protections for abortion nationwide. Now, people in states where they’re banned sometimes seek abortion pills from out-of-state providers.

“There is substantial evidence that women are being harmed not only by serious adverse events associated with your company’s drug, but also by coercion and other risks,” the lawmakers wrote to Danco Laboratories, LLC, GenBioPro, Inc., and Evita Solutions, LLC, ...
