Senate Staff Clamor for Access to Anthropic’s Claude Chatbot (1)

Aides to senators are increasingly asking for access to Anthropic PBC‘s Claude as use of generative artificial intelligence becomes an increasingly popular tool on Capitol Hill.

Senate cybersecurity staff since last month have been reviewing approximately 40 AI tools for use by staff on that side of the Capitol, with Claude topping the list of requested services, Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Jennifer Hemingway told lawmakers on Wednesday.
