Senator McConnell Hospitalized for Second Time This Year

Senator Mitch McConnell, the longest-serving Senate Republican leader, was admitted to a hospital Sunday morning, his spokesperson said.

Spokesperson David Popp did not give any details about McConnell’s condition, except to say he is “receiving excellent care.” McConnell was hospitalized earlier this year for eight days in February for “flu-like symptoms.”
