Senators File New Resolution to Bar Threatened Venezuela Strikes

A bipartisan group of senators filed a resolution Wednesday that would force a vote on a measure to block US Armed Forces from engaging with Venezuela, adding to the Senate’s busy floor agenda in the final weeks of the year.

The move is aimed at challenging President Donald Trump after he said his administration could “very soon” start land strikes against alleged drug traffickers in the country.
