The Senate canceled its planned vote for Monday because of the looming snowstorm expected to slam the Washington region.
“Due to the impending weather event that is expected to impact a significant portion of the country, Monday’s Senate vote will be postponed until Tuesday at 5:30pm,” Ryan Wrasse, a spokesman for Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.), said in a social media post on Friday. “The importance of funding the remaining portions of the government by Friday remains the same. Stay safe out there.”
