Employees across the Agriculture Department have been ordered back into the office full-time by March 10, internal emails show.
Staff within the USDA’s Farm Service Agency received an instruction Monday that remote workers not covered by a union contract must report for in-person work next week, according to an email an agency employee shared with Bloomberg Government. The agency’s Office of the General Counsel revoked telework arrangements negotiated under a union contract and asked employees to report to official work sites by March 10, a separate email obtained by Bloomberg Government said.
