Drone Hits UK’s Cyprus Base After Starmer Agrees US Support (1)

The UK’s base in Cyprus was struck by a suspected drone attack hours after Prime Minister Keir Starmer granted the US permission to use British facilities in the region to destroy Iranian missile depots.

The UK Defense Ministry confirmed that a suspected drone hit the island Royal Air Force base in the eastern Mediterranean around midnight local time. No casualties were immediately reported in the attack on RAF Akrotiri, where the British military moved additional forces in the run-up to President Donald Trump’s strikes on Iran.
