Texas Republican Rep. Luttrell Won’t Run for Re-election in 2026

Rep. Morgan Luttrell (R-Texas), a former Navy SEAL who advocates for fellow military veterans, said he’ll retire at the end of the 119th Congress after serving just two House terms.

“I’m not walking away from service, and I’m certainly not walking away from the fight,” Luttrell said in a statement Thursday. “I’m choosing a different path – one that allows me to stay rooted in Texas and focus on the people and places that matter most.”
